This is to me, as much as it is to you. Welcome!
I took most of the spring off. Regular school, TCM classes, study, and meditation drew me away. Then, being away became a habit. Ironically, I wanted to root these kinds of habits out this year, but I guess this is what it means to have a habit.
I attended my Medical Qigong training sessions in April and again in June. Both were amazing for different reasons. In April, we worked on us. Self-cultivation, day and night. In June, we started our whirlwind study of various disciplines, including: Pediatrics, Neurology, Psychology, Geriatrics, and Gynecology, et. al.. I’m looking forward to the August class, as well. A full week of deep dives into Oncology. MTF when I get back from that.
Self-care at its finest!
As a special treat to myself, I took 12 days to go on a sort of retreat immediately after the June class. I have to tell you, the White Mountains National Forest is an amazing place. If you get the chance, I highly recommend!
We hiked during the day and spent the evening with friends around the fire. I also spent a lot of time alone in the rivers and forest, reconnecting with nature. The views of the mountains were spectacular; I know the mountains are old, but you can literally feel the gravity and ancientness. And the night sky…stunning!
For me, it’s hard to compare to anything else, but I’ll post a couple of pictures to help illustrate. Suffice to say, I missed being there immediately when I left. I have the bug now to find my own property someplace far away so I can be that close to nature on the daily.
Anyway, I’m excited to be back and looking forward to interacting with you more moving forward.
My best to you on your spiritual journey!
Note: There is a second cascade just down the mountain from Silver Cascade called the Flume Cascade. It surprised me how different they felt. The Silver really resonated and seemed to flow through me. The Flume was more of a pressure against me. So interesting!
Note: This little creak fed into the Swift River. Water was super clear and very cold. Meditated on top of that big rock (about in the middle of the picture, upstream once, too.
